Yemen participation in the Asian Games:

Yemen started its first participation in the Asian Games in 1982 in New Delhi and its participation in the Asian games continued.

Culture

Yemen culture is dominated by its architecture, design and decoration dating back over 3000 years of culture and heritage. As well as the variety of fashions.

The buildings were constructed of stones and bricks. In Shebam Hadhramout, the Buildings were built of mud, which are the oldest skyscrapers in the world.

The capital, Sanaa dates back to the Era of Sam Ibn Noah after the Great Flood.

The ancient cities of Sana'a, Shebam Hadhramout and Zabid  were declared the World Heritage Cities by the UN. One of the prominent features in Sana'a city is the Great Mosque "Al-Jamea Al-Kabir", which is regarded one of the oldest mosques in the Islamic history.

Climate

Yemen has various climates, according to the location. The climate of the coastal areas is hot and humid. The climate in the mountainous areas is moderate and dry.

In Sana'a, the temperature is 33° C and dry in Summer, however, the temperature in Winter reaches minus 2° C, due to its altitude of 7220ft above sea level and the surrounding mountains.

In Aden, the temperature can often pass the 40 °C, with high humidity.

The temperature basically rises whenever we head towards the coasts to the west, south and east.

It also decreases whenever we head towards the mountainous heights.

As for rains, usually fall in spring & summer, and rarely in winter.
