Sana’a, Yemen, June 24, 2021: The Yemen Olympic Committee celebrated Olympic Day 2021 in the capital Sana’a and across the country by holding events for young children in a number of sports.
Tennis, table tennis and swimming were the featured sports in Olympic Day celebrations in the capital on Wednesday with many young children taking part in activities organised by the Yemen Olympic Committee.
Senior athletes in each sport made presentations and demonstrated skills needed in their discipline before the younger participants got involved with competitive matches being played at the end of the day.
The Yemen Olympic Committee’s Olympic Day celebrations included activities and competitions in 14 sports across three provinces and the capital with more than 500 young participants involved.
