Yemen NOC honours Al-Wehda football club president

Sana’a, Yemen, September 3, 2024: The Yemen Olympic Committee has honoured the President of Al-Wehda Sports and Cultural Club, Amin Mohammed Jumaan, for his tireless efforts in promoting and developing sports in the country.

 

Yemen Olympic Committee President Abdulrahman Al-Akwaa presented Amin Jumaan with a Shield of Excellence during a visit to the Yemeni professional football club based in the capital Sana’a last month.

 

The NOC President praised the great role and radical transformation played by Amin Jumaan in developing sport and changing the administrative thinking within Yemeni clubs. He said: “Mr. Amin Jumaan is a role model in sports management, and he has proven his competence and ability to lead the club forward.”

 

For his part, Amin Jumaan expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Yemeni Olympic Committee for the honour, stressing that it was a great incentive for him and all employees of the club to continue working harder.

 

Jumaan underlined that the achievement was a collective result of all members of the Board of Directors, the technical staff and players.

 

The visit concluded with an inspection tour of the facilities at Al-Wehda.

 

The ceremony was also attended by NOC Secretary General Mohamed Abdullah Al-Ahjri and other members of the NOC.
