Yemen NOC welcomes judo coaching course to Aden

Aden, Yemen, May 6, 2024: The Yemen Judo Federation is organising a level one international training course for coaches under the auspices of Yemen Olympic Committee and with the support of Olympic Solidarity.

The course is running from May 5-11 in Aden governorate and has attracted the participation of 30 coaches from clubs in different governorates.

The President of the Yemen Judo Federation, Eng. Noman Shahir, welcomed the participants at the opening ceremony on May 5 and encouraged them to learn as much as possible to take back to their clubs in order to develop the sport of judo in the country. He said the course was part of the Yemen Olympic Committee’s efforts to bolster all sports in 2024. 

The course is being conducted by the expert and Syrian international lecturer, Mr. Yassin Khalil Al-Ayoubi, and will include topics on refereeing, technique and modern trends in judo. 

On behalf of Yemen Olympic Committee, Vice President Mr. Khaled Mohsen Al-Khalifi praised the role of the judo federation in working hand in hand with the Olympic Committee to raise the level of the coaches and help them gain international qualifications.
