Sanaa, Yemen, August 3, 2020: : The National Olympic Committee of Yemen celebrated Olympic Day 2020 with 120 athletes from eight sports taking part in a series of events on June 23.
Athletes in judo, taekwondo, wushu, athletics, table tennis, cycling, tennis and fencing participated in competitions in several venues to mark Olympic Day 2020.
The Yemen Olympic Committee provided masks and gloves and undertook strict hygiene measures in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
Vice President of the Yemen Olympic Committee, Nazmeh Abdul Salam Othman, and Secretary General Muhammad Al-Hajri participated in the celebrations.
All athletes who participated received a certificate.
