Aomori 2003

The 5th Asian Winter Games took place from February 1 to February 8, 2003 in Aomori Prefecture, Japan.

It is the Winter Asiad that offered the most medal events to date.

Officially opened by Crown Prince Naruhito Athlete's Oath Kiminobu Kimura Torch Lighter Kayoko Fukushi Stadium Aoi-mori Arena, Aomori City.
