The development of the logo is part of the brand, image and look program. It has been tweaked and modified, using colours specifically particular to Qatar. The colour blue in the new image is named Doha blue, representing the waters of the Arabian Gulf. The yellow replicates that of the sand dunes in the Qatari desert and is called Doha Yellow. The red sun represents the ever-shining sun of Asia.
