Afghanistan NOC President thanks national federations for support and progress

Kabul, Afghanistan, July 28, 2020: Dr. Hafizollah Wali Rahimi, head of the Physical Education and Sports Ministry and elected President of the Afghanistan National Olympic Committee, was praised by the leaders of the sports federations and the country’s medal heroes at a function gathering all National Federations under the NOC umbrella.

Sayed Rahman Youresh, President of the Afghanistan Wushu Federation, spoke on behalf of all the country’s National Federations. 

He said Dr. Rahimi’s hard work and efforts to develop the sports and Olympic movement in Afghanistan were much appreciated by all the sports federations.

Dr. Rahimi said he owed his achievements to the support and cooperation of the heads of the sports federations, the national athletes in a wide variety of sports, staff of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Afghanistan National Olympic Committee and sports journalists in the country.
