Sanya, China, July 26, 2020: The organising committee of the 6th Asian Beach Games in Sanya, Hainan province, SABGOC, has released the official promotional song.
The song, entitled “See ya in Sanya”, was released on July 19 to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of the organising committee. The video runs for 4 minutes, 36 seconds.
It is sung jointly by the pop singers Chen Chusheng and Su Yunying, both born in Hainan, and was officially released worldwide.
“With rich connotation and moving melody, the song fully integrates local culture, humanistic feelings, international vision and the spirit of the Asian Beach Games, conveying the sonorous voice of Hainan Free Trade Port to listeners all over the world,” the organising committee said in a staement.
With lyrics by Zheng Hai and music by Zhou Yi, the song says the Asian Beach Games will bring “friends near and far under the same star” and that Sanya is “a place to belong, a place to throng”.
“See ya in Sanya; mi casa es su casa,” is the opening and closing line, and the song touches on the Sanya legend of the sea meeting the sky and also the symbol of the city, the deer.
The 6th Asian Beach Games are due to be held in Sanya – famous for its sweeping sandy bays and luxurious resorts in tropical Hainan province – from November 28 to December 6, 2020.
