Kathmandu, Nepal, July 22, 2020: The Nepal Olympic Committee has appointed NOC Vice President Chaturananda Rajvaidya as its executive director.

Rajvaidya, who is also President of the All Nepal Table Tennis Association, is the first executive director of the NOC.

NOC President and Member of Parliament Jeevan Ram Shrestha and Treasurer Ratan Tandon handed over the official appointment letter to Rajvaidya at a function held at the Nepal Olympic Committee headquarters in Lalitpur on Wednesday, July 22.

“This is an historic occasion as we are appointing an executive director for the NOC for the first time,” Jeevan Ram Shrestha pointed out as he congratulated Rajvaidya.

As executive director, Rajvaidya will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the NOC.

Rajvaidya won the national table tennis championship three times in a row in men’s doubles. He has been a member of the NOC since 2011. At last year’s General Assembly he was elected as Vice President.
