Malaysia’s Sports Minister visits NOC HQ

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, July 19, 2020: Malaysia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, paid a courtesy visit to the Olympic Council of Malaysia on Saturday, July 18. He was accompanied by the Secretary General, Datuk Dr. Waitchalla R.R.V Suppiah. 

They were welcomed by the President of OCM, Dato’ Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria, and the Executive Board members.

The OCM said it was “a great honour” to receive the Minister of Youth and Sports at the HQ building in Kuala Lumpur.

In other news from the OCM:

*The 2nd session of the Advanced Sport Management Course - originally scheduled on April 20-23 - took place on July 13-16.

A total of 18 participants from various National Sports Associations, State Sports Associations, State Sports Council, Armed Forces Sports Council and Sports Clubs attended the session. 

The course - which was conducted by two Programme Directors, Moira Tan Siew See and Wan Yew Leong, and a facilitator, Joshua Edgar - focused on Organising an Olympic Sport Organisation, Managing Strategically, Managing Human Resources and Managing Finance.

The 3rd and 4th sessions of the ASMC are scheduled on September 7-10 and November 2-5.
