Kathmandu, Nepal, July 11, 2020: The Coordinator of the National Team Preparation Committee of the Nepal Sports Council, Rim Ranabhat, submitted the overall report of the 13th South Asian Games to the Nepal Olympic Committee at the NOC HQ Building on Friday.
Mr. Ranabhat, who was also Deputy Chef de Mission of the Nepal delegation at the 13th South Asian Games, said that the 22-page document was the final report. It has also been submitted to the Youth and Sports Ministry.
Nepal Olympic Committee President the Hon. Jeevan Ram Shrestha congratulated Mr. Ranabhat and said that the 13th South Asian Games in Kathmandu and Pokhara from December 1-10, 2019 was a grand success because of the collective efforts of all the stakeholders. He added that this report would be useful in the future programmes.
NOC Vice Presidents Ashok Ratna Bajracharya and Chaturananda Raj Baidhya and NOC Secretary General Nilendra Raj Shrestha were also present at the report handover.
Nepal hosted 2,715 athletes from seven NOCs at the 13th South Asian Games which featured 317 events in 26 sports.
India topped the medals table with 174 gold, followed by Nepal with 51 and Sri Lanka with 40.
