Hong Kong, China, July 7, 2020: The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) has confirmed the line-up for the second edition of the Charity Cup online competition.

Following the success of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competition last month, the AESF Charity Cup returns with The King of Fighters XIV in partnership with the Osaka-based publishers SNK.

The event will take place on July 10 and the four regions competing are China, Japan, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong-China. It will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, DOUYU, BILIBILI and HUYA.

The King of Fighters XIV Charity Cup is part of the AESF’s “Your Home, Your Arena” campaign to unite esports enthusiasts during COVID-19 while raising money for the vulnerable communities adversely affected by the pandemic.

The first Charity Cup was played on June 4 and June 11 and Indonesia beat Singapore in the final.

The President of the OCA-recognised AESF, Kenneth Fok, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to our friends at SNK who made this tournament possible.

“Their willingness to contribute and play a major part in ensuring this event  takes  off  is  highly  appreciated  and we  will  always  be  here  to  support  and  drive Asian Esports to a greater height.

“Like traditional sports, Esports thrive on viewership and fans involvement; hence partnerships with such services are equally important.”
