Colombo, Sri Lanka, July 1, 2020: The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka has for the first time successfully conducted a virtual session of its Advanced Sport Management Course last weekend.
The two-day course held on June 27-28 was conducted virtually while adhering to all aspects of the COVID-19 guidelines by Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health.
A total of 17 participants representing various sports sectors took part in the programme, which was conducted by the Advanced Sport Management Course programme director of the Sri Lanka NOC, B.L.H. Perera.
“This was a totally new experience for all the participants – a virtual session,” Perera said.
Participants presented case studies relating to the fifth session of the course, Managing Marketing, on the first day and then Mrs. Lalitha Mendis delivered lectures on Managing Finance on the second day.
The case studies of Managing Finance will be presented by the participants at the next session to be held on August 22-23.
