It was noted that sports in Tajikistan was a priority and had received the personal attention of Emomali Rahmon, President of the country, who is also the President of the National Olympic Committee.
Olympic Day in Tajikistan every year is celebrated with various sporting events, seminars, conferences and talks, but the NOC decided to cancel such a programme this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was hoped that the world community will soon be able to overcome this disease, and athletes will train and strive to qualify for the Olympic Games. The Tajikistan NOC wished everyone success in achieving this goal.
