Seoul, Korea, June 23, 2020: As 2020 marks the hundredth anniversary of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, the KSOC is determined to engage with the public and to promote the Olympic Values and peace through sports while celebrating the history of sports.
In the past, the KSOC hosted Olympic Day Runs and other activities to promote an active lifestyle and allow citizens to experience new sports. This year, the celebration has moved online to involve as many people as possible amid the coronavirus pandemic.
With a chance to win prizes, people are invited to share a photo or video of a workout or exercise on their social media accounts. Because sports should be accessible for all, people are free to upload any type of exercise. The online challenge will run from 23 June to 7 July.
The purpose is to encourage nationwide participation through social media at a time when staying healthy and ensuring social distancing is becoming increasingly important.
