OCA grieves loss of mother of Kazakhstan NOC President

Kuwait City, Kuwait, June 22, 2020: The Olympic Council of Asia has sent messages of condolence to the President of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan and OCA Vice President, Timur Kulibayev, on the passing of his mother, Raisa Kulibayeva.

In a letter to Timur Kulibayev, the OCA President HE Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah said: “The passing away of a parent, especially a mother, is the hardest to fill.

“I pray to the Almighty to give peace to her noble departed soul and enough courage to you and your family to bear this great loss.

“Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing away of your beloved mother, Mrs Raisa Kulibayeva.”

The OCA Director General, Husain Al-Musallam, said he learned of the passing of Mrs Kulibayeva “with a very heavy heart”.

“The demise of anybody is very hard to bear but of a mother who has raised you is an irreparable loss.  The vacuum created by her passing away will be very hard to fill,” said Mr Al-Musallam.  

“I pray to God to rest her noble soul in peace and give strength to you and your family to bear this huge loss. My heartfelt condolences.”
