In a message on its Facebook page, the Maldives Olympic Committee said the exceptional situation of COVID-19, which ceased the practice of sporting activities and forced people to stay at home, have not stopped the world from celebrating Olympic Day this year as well.
“To promote fitness, well-being, culture and education, while also observing the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect, this year the Maldives Olympic Committee invites everyone to celebrate with us online.”
