Male, Maldives, June 17, 2020: The Maldives Olympic Committee reopened its office on Tuesday, June 16, after a two-month lockdown following the government’s decision to ease the restrictions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the recommencement of operations at the Maldives Olympic Committee office, members are requested to refrain from visiting the premises and to carry out correspondence digitally unless otherwise requested.

For any payment collections and meetings, individuals are required to make arrangements prior to arrival and wear their protective attire at all times. Members are also requested to practise safe social distancing if and when visiting the office.

The ease of the lockdown comes two months after the country announced its first local COVID-19 case on April 15. Since then, the entire country has been in strict lockdown.

The management and staff at MOC expressed their deepest gratitude to the brave frontline workers who work tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of the nation.
