Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, November 1, 2026: The South East Asian Games Federation Executive Committee has officially approved the final list of 473 events across 43 sports to be contested at the 34th SEA Games Malaysia 2027.
The approval was announced following the conclusion of the SEAGF Executive Committee Meeting No. 3 (2025-2027), chaired by Dr. Nur Azmi Ahmad, on Friday, October 30, 2026.
The final list of 473 events was determined following detailed deliberations involving the Olympic Council of Malaysia, the Malaysian SEA Games Organising Committee and the SEAGF Executive Committee, in accordance with the SEAGF Charter and Rules.
“The approval of the final list of 473 events provides greater clarity for all 11 member NOCs of SEAGF to plan and intensify their preparations for the 34th SEA Games Malaysia 2027, scheduled to take place from September 18-19, 2027 across four clusters - Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Penang and Johor,” said Dr. Nur, OCM Deputy President and Chair of the SEAGF Executive Committee.
Another significant milestone achieved at the SEAGF Executive Committee meeting was the official submission of the application of SEAGF to become a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code.
The Acknowledgement Form, pursuant to the Policy for Acceptance of New Signatories to the code, was officially signed by Mr. Chaiyapak Siriwat on behalf of the SEAGF Office and Mr. Mohd Nasir Ali, OCM Secretary General, representing the host NOC of the 34th SEA Games Malaysia 2027.
