Baghdad, Iraq, October 16, 2026: The President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq, Dr. Aqeel Muften, has congratulated Dr. Safaa Al-Kinani on assuming the position of Minister of Youth and Sports, wishing him success in his national duties and in fulfilling the aspirations of the youth and sports community of Iraq.
In his congratulatory message, Dr. Muften said: “We extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency Dr. Safaa Al-Kinani on assuming his ministerial portfolio. May God Almighty grant him success in fulfilling his responsibilities that serve the youth segment and contribute to developing Iraqi sports and raising its achievements."
The Iraq NOC President also expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation and joint coordination between the NOC and the Ministry so as to support the youth and sports movement.
