Brisbane 2032 unveils Olympic and Paralympic Games Emblems

Brisbane, Australia, October 7, 2026: Brisbane 2032 has unveiled its Olympic and Paralympic emblems, inspired by Queensland’s character, wildlife and identity. At their heart are two native Australian cockatoos, giving each a distinctive look and personality.

The Brisbane 2032 emblems feature two native Australian birds: the pink cockatoo for the Olympic Games and the sulphur-crested cockatoo for the Paralympic Games.

The complete designs were unveiled after six individual pieces were revealed across Queensland by 12 Olympic, Paralympic and sporting greats.

The emblems also incorporate the outline of Queensland, the Olympic and Paralympic flames and a subtle reference to the Games in 2032.

Speaking about the unveiling, the IOC’s Brisbane 2032 Coordination Commission Chair, Mikee Cojuangco Jaworski of the Philippines, said: “With this emblem, Brisbane and Queensland take their place in a historic line of Olympic identities stretching back over a century, representing Australia on the global stage for the third time, with Melbourne in 1956 and Sydney in 2000.

“This vibrant expression of these Games is one that will travel the world, telling the story of Brisbane 2032. It is also a symbol of excitement and ambition that a generation of young athletes and fans will now grow up with over the next six years.

“Bringing together the nature and character of the country, this region and its people with iconic Olympic imagery, this emblem could not be better suited to carrying these Games forward.”
