Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club congratulates gold medal-winning sailors

Nagoya, Japan, October 2, 2026: The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club has congratulated the Hong Kong, China delegation on winning two gold medals in sailing at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

“A historic double gold on the water!” the RHKYC posted on social media.

 

“Huge congratulations to Club members Ethan Kiu, Louis Polson and Chloe Kong, along with her teammate McCarley Wong, for an incredible performance at the Asian Games!

 

“With the 29er class making its Asian Games debut in Aichi-Nagoya, our sailors delivered a clean sweep:

 

“Ethan and Louis dominated the Boys’ Skiff fleet, taking the bullet in every single race to secure the inaugural Boys’ title and a historic skiff gold for Hong Kong, China.

 

“Chloe and McCarley showed incredible resilience and composure under pressure, fighting their way to top honors to claim the inaugural Girls’ 29er Championship!

 

“Both teams have officially written their names in the record books as inaugural champions.  Outstanding job, everyone—we couldn't be prouder!”

 

The 20th Asian Games will close on October 4. Hong Kong, China has sent a delegation of more than 800 members, including approximately 580 athletes, to compete in 38 sports. 

 

Team Hong Kong, China is making its Asian Games debut in padel, modern pentathlon and wrestling.
