Nagoya, Japan, September 29, 2026: The smooth running of a massive international multi-sport event such as the Asian Games relies on many factors behind the scenes.
One of them is the accreditation process – and the lines of people outside the accreditation office in the OCA HQ Hilton Hotel in Nagoya tell its own story.
“To date, our accreditation team has issued 2,200 registrations for the OCA Family,” said the OCA’s accreditation manager, Adnan Kabri.
“We have a team of 50 working in two shifts to deal with all the requests, changes, upgrade passes and other procedures.
“Our aim is to make the accreditation process as smooth as possible for everyone involved in the OCA Family and to accommodate the various requests on a case-by-case basis.”
Of the 2,200 OCA Family registrations, the accreditation team has reissued 720 accreditation cards at HQ as people leave and are replaced by colleagues or their roles are amended.
On top of this, the team has issued 400 guest passes and has validated 620 pre-valid cards at the HQ for those who did not validate their PVC at the airport or other accreditation centres.
With the second week of competition underway at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, and the countdown is on until the closing ceremony on October 4, expect Adnan and his hard-working team to maintain this gold medal service for the OCA Family.
