Nagoya, Japan, September 28, 2026: The Olympic Council of Asia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Croatian Olympic Committee to strengthen sports cooperation.
His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, OCA President, signed on behalf of the continental governing body, while COC President Dr. Josip Varvodic signed for the NOC.
The MoU, which was signed on the sidelines of the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, will develop cooperation across various areas of sport and strengthen cooperation between the OCA and the COC.
The agreement will also provide for the exchange of expertise and knowledge, the organisation of training and development programmes and capacity-building in design, preparation and maintenance of sports facilities. In addition, it will support the establishment of a Croatian high-performance training centre.
The MoU reflects the OCA’s commitment to expanding sports cooperation and the exchange of expertise with National Olympic Committees around the world.
