Nagoya, Japan, September 27, 2026: Singapore National Olympic Council celebrated a second gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games on Sunday, September 27.
“What a sprint!” the SNOC posted after Shanti Pereira stormed to gold in the women’s 200m at Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium, clocking 22.78 seconds to take the top spot for the second time in her Asian Games career and achieving a season's best
“What a run. What a performance. What a moment! We are so proud of you, Shanti!” the SNOC said.
It was Singapore’s second gold of the Games after previously winning a Mixed Martial Arts title.
