Nagoya, Japan, September 21, 2026: Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino attended the water polo women’s match at the Nagoya City Gymnasium on Sunday, September 20 to show their support for the Japanese women’s team against Thailand.
Dr. Norza Zakaria, President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia and President of the SEA Games Federation, was entrusted by the OCA with the honour of accompanying Their Imperial Highnesses in his capacity as Vice President of OCA for Southeast Asia Zone.
Prior to the water polo match, Dr. Norza had the great honour of being invited by The Imperial Household Agency to join Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino for lunch at the Nagoya Kanko Hotel.
“On behalf of the OCA, I wish to express our profound appreciation and deepest gratitude to Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince and Crown Princess Akishino for Their Imperial Highnesses’ gracious support for the Asian Games and the Olympic Movement in Asia,” said Dr. Norza.
