Nagoya, Japan, September 21, 2026: His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, visited the Asian Games Athletes’ Village on Sunday, September 20 – the day after the opening ceremony.
Sheikh Joaan was accompanied by Kirsty Coventry, President of the International Olympic Committee, and by Mr. Husain Al Musallam, Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia.
They reviewed the facilities and services supporting athletes throughout the Asian Games and also met with a number of athletes taking part in the competitions, wishing them success and commending the sportsmanship that unites Asia.
