Nagoya, Japan, September 19, 2026: The first edition of the Asian Games newspaper was published on Saturday, September 19 – the day of the opening ceremony.
The Asian Games Times is the official bilingual daily of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 and features reports and photos from the sports competitions as well as cultural highlights of Nagoya City and Aichi Prefecture.
The front cover is devoted to teqball, which is making its Asian Games debut in Nagoya and will culminate with five finals on September 20 at the Nagoya City Higashi Sports Centre.
The content inside includes men’s basketball and women’s cricket reports, Asian Games Rewind on the third Asian Games Tokyo 1958 and a comprehensive daily schedule for the Asian Games through to the closing ceremony on October 4.
There is also a list of sports with free entry, such as teqball, cycling – road, athletics – race walk, archery and padel.
The Asian Games Times is published by organising committee AINAGOC and edited by the Chunichi Shimbun and distributed free of charge.
