The men’s basketball competition is taking place at Aichi International Arena in Nagoya. There will be a new champion this year as the Philippines, winners at Hangzhou 2022, were knocked out in the group stages after suffering a 105-61 defeat at the hands of China.
The quarter-final match-ups for September 16 are:
10am: Jordan vs Republic of Korea
1pm: IR Iran vs Bahrain
4pm: People's Republic of China vs Saudi Arabia
7.20pm: Chinese Taipei vs Japan
Organising committee AINAGOC is promoting the fact that one ticket earns access to all four matches on the day.
“It’s a super economical ticket that lets you fully enjoy basketball from morning to night. This is your chance to watch Asia’s top-tier matches all in one go,” AINAGOC states.
China has won the Asian Games men’s basketball competition on eight occasions, followed by Philippines (5) and Korea (4).
