Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, September 15, 2026: The Olympic Council of Malaysia has congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Minister of Sport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on his unopposed re-election as President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association for the term 2026-2029.
HRH Prince Abdulaziz was re-elected to the ISSA presidency at the 15th ISSA General Assembly in Taif, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, September 12.
“On behalf of NOC Malaysia, we extend our profound congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal on his re-election as President of ISSA for the new term of 2026-2029, having first been elected to the position in 2019,” said Dr. Norza Zakaria, OCM President, President of the SEA Games Federation, OCA Vice President for the Southeast Asia zone and member of the ISSA Executive Board.
“I am also truly humbled, honoured and privileged to have been appointed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal to serve as a member of the ISSA Executive Board for the new term under his leadership.
“NOC Malaysia remains fully committed to playing a proactive and supportive role within ISSA under the visionary leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, including delivering a successful 16th ISSA General Assembly in Malaysia in 2027 and the Islamic Solidarity Games in 2029,” he added.
