Taipei, September 6, 2026: The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee’s Sport and Environment Commission supported the 2026 Sports Industry Sustainability Forum at National Tsing Hua University on August 28.
The annual forum brings together representatives from government, sports organizations, industry, academia and research institutions to advance the sustainable transformation of the sports industry.
A major highlight was the launch of the Sports Industry Sustainability Alliance and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding among cross-sector partners. The Alliance aims to build a sustainable sports ecosystem through collaboration in environmental, social, governance (ESG) and economic development.
The forum highlighted the expanding role of sport beyond competition, emphasizing health, social inclusion, equality and sustainable development, while exploring new opportunities across professional sports, mass participation, endurance sports, sports tourism, media and sports nutrition.
The CTOC’s Sport and Environment Commission believes the forum represents a significant annual platform for advancing sport and environmental sustainability.
