Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, September 6, 2026: The closing ceremony of the Sport Administrators Course No. 3 (2026) was held on Saturday, September 5 and officiated by Olympian Nurul Huda Abdullah, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia and Chairperson of the OCM Gender Equity Committee.

In her closing speech, Nurul Huda Abdullah thanked the OCM Education and Training Committee for its collaboration in designing the Sport Administrators Course for women sport officials from National Sports Associations affiliated with OCM, as well as their respective state affiliates and clubs.

“On behalf of the OCM Gender Equity Committee, we are committed to facilitating and supporting women sport officials by equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to take on administrative roles in sporting organisations,” she said.

“Take what you have learned here back to your associations, your states and your clubs. Put it into practice. Continue to learn, grow and develop. Stay connected with one another. And, most importantly, be prepared to step forward and lead.

“It is our hope that women sport officials will be proactive and prepared to put their hands up whenever opportunities arise,” she added.

Kimberly Janet Ansibin, Treasurer of the Malaysian Fencing Federation, delivered a speech on behalf of the women sport officials.
