Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 3, 2026: The UAE National Olympic Committee held a coordination meeting with representatives of national sports federations to review the latest preparations for UAE’s participation at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games from September 19 to October 4.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, September 1 at the NOC headquarters in Dubai, reviewed administrative, technical and organisational arrangements and the competition schedule, as well as requirements and procedures to be completed to ensure the readiness of the UAE delegation to Japan.
Ahmed Al Tayeb, Director of the Technical and Sports Affairs Department at the NOC, presented key details of the 20th Asian Games which will bring together more than 11,000 athletes and 6,000 team officials representing 45 National Olympic Committees.
Representatives of the sports federations were also briefed on departure and arrival plans, as well as preparations for the opening ceremony on September 19.
