Muscat, Oman, September 2, 2026: The Athletes Commission of the Oman Olympic Committee, in cooperation with the Oman School Sports Federation, organised a Promising Athletes Forum in Dhofar Governorate.
The two-day forum was attended by a number of young athletes and was held as part of the Oman Olympic Committee’s efforts to promote awareness of the Olympic Movement and introduce the athletes to the values and principles underpinning Olympic sport.
The interactive forum addressed a number of key topics, including safeguarding, values and ethics and the concept of building the champions of the future. It also focused on developing skills for success that athletes need both on and off the field, as well as enhancing their ability to navigate the different stages of their sporting career.
Khalifa Hamad Al Jabri, Chairman of the Oman Athletes Commission, conducted the forum, with assistance from Vice-Chairman Asaad Mubarak Al Hasani and Commission members Nasser Hamdan Al Riyami and Mohammed Naseeb Al Habsi.
