Manila, Philippines, August 31, 2026: The Philippine Olympic Committee will have its first-ever TV show dedicated to the Olympic Movement, sports and athletes.
The POC President, Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino, recently signed a contract with the Bilyonaryo News Channel to air a POC news programme called Philippine Olympic Hour.
The contract was signed with Cheryl Favila, Senior Vice President for News and Current Affairs, and with Ma. Fatima Baylon, Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing.
The POC views this new initiative as a way to put their athletes in the heart of the sports news and also to promote two huge international events coming soon – the inaugural SEA Plus Youth Games from December 2-14, 2027 and the 7th Asian Beach Games in Cebu from March 7-6, 2028.
