New Sporting Asia gears up for 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026

Kuwait City, Kuwait, August 26, 2026: The latest edition of the Olympic Council of Asia’s official newsletter Sporting Asia is ready to download from the OCA website: www.oca.asia.

The September 2026 edition will also be printed and distributed to athletes, officials and media at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya from September 19 to October 4.

One of Japan’s most celebrated athletes, three-time Olympic women’s wrestling champion Saori Yoshida, adorns the front cover as she runs the first leg of the torch relay at Nagoya Castle on Saturday, August 22.

Inside the 48-page Sporting Asia, we follow the flame-lighting ceremonies in Tokyo and Hiroshima before the grand finale at Nagoya Castle.

Eight pages of Asian Games news also includes the 100-day countdown ceremony and the plans for the arrival of the cruise ship to serve as part of the Athletes’ Village when it docks in Nagoya on September 15.

Sporting Asia Edition 74 reports on the three OCA youth camps in wrestling, short track speed skating and figure skating and also covers the conclusion of the “Asian Games for All” campaign in Malaysia. Over 40,000 people took part in the 23 Asian Games Fun Runs – a remarkable turnout which displayed the passion for Aichi-Nagoya 2026 throughout the continent.
