Tashkent, Uzbekistan, August 24, 2026: The International Kurash Association held an international refereeing course for officials taking part in the 20th Asian Games at Aichi-Nagoya next month.
The professional development seminar ran from August 17-22 and was organised jointly by the IKA and International Kurash Institute. Over 20 international referees from 10 countries and regions took part.
The closing ceremony was attended by IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, IKA Technical Director Ravi Kapoor, IKA Head of Administration Mansur Mirzaev, IKI Rector Khabibulla Tadjiyev, IKI Professor Kim Eur Joong and IKA Press Secretary Jamshid Namozov.
One of the highlights of the event was the ceremonial presentation of internationally recognized certificates to the participants.
The course represented an important step towards enhancing the professional qualifications of international referees, establishing unified refereeing standards and further strengthening the international standing and reputation of Kurash.
The course was held at the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sport in Chirchik city and was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Kurash Association, the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and Sport and the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan.
