Thimphu, Bhutan, August 24, 2026: Bhutan’s national archery team is in Bangladesh for a 10-day training camp to prepare for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games.
On the invitation of Bangladesh Archery, the Bhutan archery team comprising seven athletes – five compound archers and two recurve archers – two coaches and a manager will be in Bangladesh until August 30 taking part in training and competition.
The Bhutan Olympic Committee said the exposure would provide the athletes with valuable international competition experience ahead of the 20th Asian Games, allowing them to assess their readiness, compete under pressure and identify areas for final improvements so as to make technical adjustments.
“Training and competing in Bangladesh’s hot and humid conditions will also provide an opportunity for climate acclimatisation, supporting the athletes’ physical adaptation and overall competition readiness for the Asian Games,” the BOC added.
