Manila, Philippines, August 19, 2026: The Philippine Olympic Committee held a media briefing for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya on Wednesday, August 19.
The briefing, conducted by POC President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, coincided with the 30-day countdown to the opening ceremony in Nagoya on September 19.
“Preparation goes beyond the playing field,” the POC posted on social media.
“Led by POC President Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino, the crucial alignment meeting brought together some of the country’s top sports writers and media practitioners.
“The agenda focused on ensuring seamless logistics, comprehensive coverage and a united front in delivering the stories of our national athletes to every Filipino home.
“Together with the press, we are ready to cover Team Philippines' journey to glory in Japan!”
