Kuwait City, Kuwait, August 19, 2026: The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games Organizing Committee (AINAGOC) hosted a joint coordination meeting on Tuesday, August 18 with representatives from the OCA Medical Committee and Anti-Doping Commission, International Testing Agency and Japan Anti-Doping Agency.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sultan Al Busaidi, Chair of the OCA Medical Committee and Anti-Doping Commission, and provided an important opportunity for the participating organizations to review the latest developments and operational preparations for the 20th Asian Games to be held from September 19 to October 4.
Key areas discussed included athlete whereabouts and rooming procedures, updates to the competition schedule and testing preparations, athlete engagement activities and arrangements for the upcoming team doctors’ meetings.
Participants were also briefed on the ITA rooming application, which will support the collection and management of athletes’ accommodation information during the Games. Dedicated training for National Olympic Committee users is scheduled ahead of the event to support its effective implementation.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for AINAGOC, OCA, ITA and JADA to review progress, address key operational matters and further strengthen coordination in the final stages leading up to the Games.
The OCA reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with AINAGOC and all relevant partners to ensure the effective implementation of the anti-doping program, compliance with applicable anti-doping standards and the protection of clean sport throughout Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
