Palestine to send 67 athletes to Asian Games

Ramallah, Palestine, August 18, 2026: Palestine will send 67 athletes to participate in the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games from September 19 to October 4.

 

The Palestine Olympic Committee announced the delegation for the 20th Asian Games in Japan will total 108 members, including 67 athletes, who will compete in 19 sports.

 

The President of the Palestine Olympic Committee, Major General Jibril Rajoub, praised the efforts of the Olympic Council of Asia, its President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Director General Husain Al Musallam and the members of the OCA Board of Directors for their support and cooperation for Palestine’s participation in Japan.

 

Of the 19 sports Palestine athletes will enter, seven are combat sports and one team sport – baseball.

 

Palestine will make a historic appearance in the men’s baseball competition in Aichi-Nagoya where eight of the top-ranked national teams in Asia will compete. Palestine is currently ranked 5th in Asia.
