Tehran, Iran, August 13, 2026: The Education Commission of the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran met to discuss preparations to hold a two-day seminar for athletes taking part in the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
The meeting, chaired by Dr. Elham Shirzad, featured a detailed presentation as to how the young Olympic ambassadors will be equipped with necessary skills and insights ahead of the YOG in Senegal from October 31 to November 13, 2026.
The framework, objectives and structure of the plan – developed through specialised working group sessions and coordination with the delegation head and the Iran NOC directors – were thoroughly analysed.
Following constructive feedback from the Commission members, the proposal was finalised and officially approved. This two-day seminar is scheduled to take place at the National Olympic Academy prior to the departure of the delegation for Senegal.
