Beijing, China, August 6, 2026: China unveiled the podium uniforms for its delegation to the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan next month at a ceremony in Beijing on Monday, August 3 under the theme "Shining Across Asia, Infinite Possibilities".
The podium uniforms were jointly unveiled by the Chinese Olympic Committee and Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning.
Designed by Li-Ning, the apparel incorporates temperature-regulating fibers developed using thermal-control technology derived from China's Chang'e-1 lunar probe, enabling adaptive temperature regulation for enhanced comfort, reports China.org.cn.
The accompanying footwear features Li-Ning's BOOM Arc technology, which combines supercritical foam materials with an arched structural design to deliver enhanced shock absorption, improved stability and more effective pressure distribution.
The launch ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Cui Jian, deputy director of the General Administration of Sport of China, Li Ning, world-renowned gymnast and founder of the Li-Ning brand, and other guests.
Cui recalled that the 11th Asian Games, held in Beijing in 1990, marked the first time China hosted a major international multi-sport event. He said the Games not only greatly advanced the development of both competitive and recreational sports in China but also served as an important bridge for sports exchanges and mutual learning between China and the rest of the world.
Cui also noted that 1990 marked the first time the Li-Ning brand supplied competition apparel for the Chinese delegation to the Asian Games, beginning a long-standing partnership between Chinese sports brands and the national team while supporting Chinese athletes in pursuing excellence on the international stage.
