Cebu City, Philippines, August 6, 2026: Under the theme "Building Clean Sport Communities," the Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization launched its inaugural Regional Anti-Doping Education Programme in Cebu City from July 31 to August 1.
This marks a significant milestone in expanding anti-doping education across the country and reinforces the Philippines’ commitment to promoting clean sport at the grassroots level.
Over 300 participants gathered for the two-day programme, which featured comprehensive discussions on the fundamentals of anti-doping, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, and the doping control process. These essential topics aim to equip athletes, support personnel and key stakeholders with the knowledge, values and practical tools needed to make informed and ethical decisions in sport.
Among the key attendees were Philippine Sports Commission Comm. Edward Hayco, Cebu City Sports Commission Chair Dr. Rhoel Dejaño and PHI-NADO Head Dr. Alejandro Pineda, further amplifying efforts to cultivate a shared responsibility in protecting the integrity of sport across the region.
“Play True. Play Clean. Play Fair” was the motto of the programme.
