Hong Kong, China, August 4, 2026: The 69th Festival of Sport in Hong Kong, China ended on a high note with the “Sport for All Experience Day” at D-Park in Tsuen Wan on Sunday, August 2.
The Festival of Sport is organised annually by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China and is supported by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Special Administrative Region government.
With the successful staging of the “Sport for All Experience Day”, the four month-long festival officially came to a close. This year’s festival ran from April to August under the theme “One Line of Energy, A City in Motion”, and more than 50 sports activities were held across Hong Kong, fostering a citywide sporting atmosphere, encouraging public participation and promoting the joy of exercise.
The “Sport for All Experience Day” featured sports challenges, family-friendly activities and themed photo opportunities, drawing enthusiastic participation from people of all ages.
Highlights of the event included the “One-Minute Basketball Shootout” and the “Obstacle Sprint Football Shootout” which tested participants’ shooting accuracy and ball-handling skills.
The Hong Kong Olympic Fan Club also arranged basketball and football experience sessions exclusively for its parent-child members. Guided by professional instructors, parents and children learned fundamental ball techniques and put them into practice, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere of family interaction.
In addition, the SF&OC continued to support the Leisure and Cultural Services Department’s “Sport for All Day 2026” by joining the free recreational activities held across the city on the same day.
At the Kowloon Park Sports Centre, SF&OC hosted a booth themed “Asian Games Fun Shoot”, inviting the public to learn more about Asian Games events through interactive games and to cheer on Hong Kong athletes as they prepare to compete in Aichi-Nagoya this September.
