Astana, Kazakhstan, August 4, 2026: A bilateral meeting between representatives of the National Olympic Committees of Kazakhstan and Serbia was held in Astana last week.
The Kazakh side was represented by NOC Secretary General Alimzhan Akayev and Director of the Sports Department Bektur Kiyatbay. The Serbian delegation was led by NOC President Dejan Tomasevic.
During the meeting, discussion revolved around current issues on the Olympic agenda, including participation in the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, and cooperation ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the development of team sports, the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects between the two NOCs.
