Harbin, China, August 3, 2026: The OCA-ISU Asian Figure Skating Youth Camp welcomed a special guest on to the ice.
Zhang Haihua, Deputy Mayor of the Harbin Municipal People’s Government, paid a visit to the camp, demonstrating the commitment of the local authorities towards the success of the winter sports development programme.
Madam Zhang took the time to personally greet the athletes and coaches, sharing words of encouragement and handing out souvenir gift bags.
The incredible hospitality and support from the host city continue to make this camp an unforgettable experience for the young skaters.
The camp, which opened on July 28, has attracted 39 athletes and 15 coaches from 15 National Olympic Committees – a total of 54 participants.
During the opening ceremony, the OCA, ISU and Harbin Municipal People’s Government signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding for the Asian short track speed skating youth camp and Asian figure skating youth camp for 2026-2027, heralding a long-term venture in China’s famous “Ice City” of Harbin in north-east Heilongjiang province.
The figure skating youth camp closes on Monday, August 3.
