AINAGOC leaders seek continued MEXT support for Asian Games

Nagoya, Japan, August 1, 2026: Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games organising committee AINAGOC met with Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to request its continued support for the successful delivery of the 20th Asian Games, AINAGOC reports.

 

The meeting was attended by Mr. Hideaki Ohmura, Governor of Aichi Prefecture and President of AINAGOC, Mr. Ichiro Hirosawa, Mayor of Nagoya, representatives of the Aichi Prefectural Assembly Members' League, Nagoya City Assembly Members' League and the Secretary General of AINAGOC, Mr. Satoshi Murate.

 

“With just six weeks to go until the Games start, we sought continued cooperation in building momentum and promoting ticket sales,” AINAGOC said.

 

“Together with our partners, we will continue our preparations to deliver a successful Games and welcome Asia to Aichi-Nagoya 2026.”
