Glasgow, Scotland, July 31, 2026: Malaysia and India retained their places in the top 10 in the overall medal standings as the Commonwealth Games reached the seven-day mark on Thursday, July 30.
Malaysia, spurred on by their weightlifters, was in seventh place with six gold, three silvers and three bronze for a total of 12 medals.
Malaysian weightlifters have accounted for five of the six gold medals.
India was in 10th place with 3-10-4 (17).
Singapore and Sri Lanka were the only other Asian countries to make a mark in Glasgow having so far won two silvers and one silver, respectively.
Australia lead the medal standings with 51 gold, 24 silver and 35 bronze medals for a total of 110, well clear of second-placed England, 15-30-20 (65). Canada are third with 15-13-17 (45).
Hosts Scotland was in fourth place in the standings with 9-7-9 (25) and Nigeria fifth with 8-5-3 (16).
